Mascara Snake - de ce lavoir où est né l'espoir

from COMPLEXITY 5 by Various Artists

/

about

Not to be confused with the sometimes Captain Beefheart clarinetist of the same name, this particular Mascara Snake is the calculated instrumental experimentations of Pacôme Genty.

The album ‘Averse’ finds Genty crafting mysterious-slow-ethereal vignettes that resemble clips lifted from a nonexistent collaboration between Brian Eno and Hiroshi Yoshimura.

After establishing a mystical-ascetical mood during the first three songs, the atmosphere swells into a more luminous and warm area. Precious fragments of introspective films. Stripes of light crossing a veil. A clandestine laboratory where the sun rays penetrate through the holes of the wall. Devotion for the beam of light.
